GTSC’s FITGov Summit – POSTPONED UNTIL MAY

For fourteen years, the FITGov Summit has offered excellent learning opportunities for the CPIC community under the auspices of the AIM Council. In 2022, the Government Technology & Services Coalition acquired the Summit to expand the exceptional collaboration and exchange already established by the community. The GTSC FITGov Summit will continue to bring senior leadership from the federal government together, to share innovative ideas, expand their knowledge, and share their experience. GTSC has expanded the Board of Directors, and added dedicated expertise to the procurement and security side of the IT Investment Management (ITIM) process. We look forward to building this community and furthering everyone’s holistic understanding of the ITIM framework.

FITGOV’s MISSION

To build and support an exceptional community of trust around the governance, enterprise architecture (EA), IT security, IT acquisition, strategic planning, and capital budgeting processes for Federal Information Technology (FIT).

To build centers of learning excellence around each discipline in the CPIC continuum.

GOALS

To attract creative, collaborative leaders from the public and private sector to share best practices, information, innovations, and ideas to improve, refine, and enhance existing processes or develop new ones to meet mission goals;

To assure the highest integrity in the stewardship of tax payer dollars;

To support integrity, leadership, and mentoring of peers in the community;

To represent, support, and herald diversity, equity, and inclusion among the many talented professionals in the FITGov community.

FITGov is able to achieve these goals through IT modernization, capital planning, governance, procurement, and security.

BORDER SECURITY 2022

Twenty twenty-two has been a banner year for Customs & Border Patrol (CBP): a new influx of refugees from Ukraine, working through changing COVID mandates, the threat of terrorism, transnational crime, drug and people smuggling, cybercrimes, not to mention new requirements necessitated by Executive Order. This year’s critical conversation will focus on how the agency has adapted to changes in priorities, missions, and mandates.

We will revisit CBP’s 12 strategic initiatives designed to harness and apply the power of data, intelligence, and advanced analytics, develop and maintain top-quality IT infrastructure and access, and expand our international and intelligence partnerships to leverage the benefits of interoperability and collaboration to protect the country.

Join us to understand the ways CBP has adapted and how the private sector can collaborate to achieve their critical missions.
