GTSC’s Cyber Security Awareness Month: Matthew Travis, former Deputy Director, CISA

Join GTSC for a session with Matthew Travis, the former Deputy Director of CISA.

Matthew Travis served as the first Deputy Director for the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Travis served as Deputy Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) before the agency became CISA on November 16, 2018. As Deputy Director, he supported the CISA Director in overseeing the Cybersecurity Division, the Infrastructure Security Division, the National Risk Management Center, and the Emergency Communications Division. His operational support responsibilities were to ensure a holistic approach to critical infrastructure protection across physical and cyber risks activities. He resigned from CISA in 2020. In 2021 he became the first CEO of the CMMC Accreditation Body (CMMC-AB) In this role, Travis oversees the day-to-day development and management of the CMMC-AB to support the goals and objectives of its ultimate customer, the Department of Defense (DOD).
