GTSC’s focus on “Mission” is not only helpful to GTSC members in their efforts to align contractor support to mission outcomes, it also helps the government to think through how the mission is supported by IT and other enterprise functions. A great example of this was when the USCIS provided industry insight into how the e2020 initiative was a partnership between the USCIS business functions and the Office of the CIO. This partnership was consistently on display and clarified by audience interaction throughout the entire “USCIS Day” hosted by GTSC. The intimate format of the GTSC days provides a unique opportunity for direct communication among government and industry leaders.
